“ Some of the best burgers in Southeast Kansas! Don't forget fried pickles, okra, mushrooms, and green beans. We had a group of 25 and they easily accommodated us when we called ahead. Hamburgers so large my senior boys runners couldn't even finish them. ”

“ King's is everything that was great about my memories of old school road trips. Why on earth would you go to another McDonald's when you can get a big, fresh, juicy burger made to order in a third-generation old school burger joint? I drove off the highway intentionally to go there and it was a great decision. While there, I got into conversations with the person at the counter, two folks eating next to me and, eventually, the owner. I was taking a vintage car home from Tulsa. We swapped old car stories, which was great, but then he grabbed a tool he had in the shed to help me deal with a fussy radiator I told him about. Stuff like this just restores your faith in America. Hope this place makes it to the fourth generation. BTW, four stars instead of five for food is no knock--it's just that I like to save that fifth star for like crazy good food that blows my mind. But I'd go back for that burger in a heartbeat. ”
“ Amazing food and amazing customer service. The Club Burger was what I had, and did not disappoint. The fries I recieved were crispy, and the onion rings were some of the best I've had. The burgers are good enough to reduce a grown man to tears. Highly Recommended. ”
“ I used google to find a place to eat while in town for business. This place was one of the highest rated, and a couple comments stated they had amazing onion rings, so I decided to come try it I was not disappointed The menu is on the wall, and there are no descriptions, so outside the standard (burger, cheeseburger, etc.) the other items are up to guess what they are (or I guess you could ask, but that’s no fun) I was feeling adventurous, and decided to try the “sweet and spicy chicken”, with some onion rings and corn nuggets. The sandwich was a fried chicken breast with a slice of white cheese on top, and then on the bottom bun was a red sauce, a yellow sauce (maybe nacho cheese?) and jalapenos. I’m still not 100% what all I ate, but it was DELICIOUS. It was as described - slightly sweet, slightly spicy, and very delicious. The onion rings were also as others described, some of the best I ever had. The corn nuggets were just deep fried corn, but it was amazingly delicious. I was very pleased by how good everything was. According to a sign on the napkin holder, this place has been here since 1955. A man and woman are the only staff (husband and wife I’m guessing). It’s a cute little slice of Americana; a tiny restaurant in what might have once been a drive in. I’m definitely making it my to go place when I’m in town ”
